As the In-House Buyer specializing in handbags, you will be responsible for identifying, sourcing, and selecting a diverse range of handbags that cater to our discerning customer base. Your keen fashion sense, industry knowledge, and exceptional negotiation skills will enable you to build strong relationships with suppliers and ensure a compelling assortment of handbags. This role requires a deep understanding of market trends, a sharp eye for quality, and a passion for delivering exceptional products.
Responsibilities
- Stay up-to-date with the latest fashion trends, including handbag styles, materials, colors, and designs, to anticipate customer preferences and maintain a fashion-forward collection.
- Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify emerging brands, designers, and handbag trends, ensuring our collection remains diverse and innovative.
- Build and maintain relationships with handbag suppliers, designers, and manufacturers to secure the best selection of handbags that align with our brand image and quality standards.
- Analyze sales data and customer feedback to assess the performance of existing handbag styles and identify opportunities for new additions or adjustments to the assortment.
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and shipping agreements with suppliers, striving to secure competitive pricing and favorable conditions while maintaining quality standards.
- Collaborate with the merchandising team to develop strategic plans and buying budgets, aligning with sales targets and customer demands.
- Coordinate with the marketing team to provide input for product descriptions and campaigns, highlighting the unique features and craftsmanship of each handbag.
- Conduct regular store visits and engage with customers to understand their preferences, solicit feedback, and gain insights to inform future buying decisions.
- Ensure timely delivery and inventory management by closely monitoring order fulfillment, tracking shipments, and addressing any supply chain issues.
- Stay informed about industry regulations, ethical sourcing practices, and sustainability initiatives, and apply them to the selection and sourcing process.
- Attend trade shows, industry events, and fashion weeks to discover new brands, network with industry professionals, and stay at the forefront of handbag trends.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an In-House Buyer, preferably with a specialization in handbags or accessories.
- Deep knowledge of handbag fashion trends, brands, designers, and materials, with an understanding of the luxury market.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills to build and maintain relationships with suppliers and stakeholders.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to analyze sales data, market trends, and customer preferences to make informed buying decisions.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Creative and visionary mindset, with the ability to identify unique and compelling handbag styles that resonate with our target audience.
- Strong attention to detail and an eye for quality craftsmanship and materials.
- Ability to work independently, while also collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel or inventory management systems to track and manage product assortment and sales data.

Salary: AED10,000.00 - AED12,000.00 per month
